City of Amboy issued the following announcement on Sept. 17.
Wyatt Hanson requested a variance to the Amboy Zoning Code for a garage to be built on the property at 230 S 4th Avenue. Therefore, the Amboy Planning Commission and Amboy City Council will hold public hearings on this request as part of their regular monthly meetings. The Planning Commission will hold its public hearing on September 30, 2019 beginning at approximately 7:00 PM. The City Council will holds it public hearing on Monday October 7, 2019beginning at approximately 7:00 PM. Both meetings will be held in the city hall meeting room, 244 East Maine Street, Amboy, MN.
Wyatt Hanson is asking for a variance to Section 150.11 Subdivision O.4 which deals with height of detached buildings. He wishes to build a garage that will be taller than 16’, which is more than the zoning code allows.
Such persons as desire to be heard with references to this proposed variance will be heard at these times.
