City of Blue Earth issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.
The fall brush site extended hours will begin on Thursday, October 3, 2019. The hours are as follows:
Tuesday 1:00 p.m. – Sunset
Thursday 1:00 p.m. – Sunset
Friday 1:00 p.m. – Sunset
Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Brush site use: The brush site was built and maintained to service the needs of the residents and contractors removing trees, brush and yard waste from properties inside City limits ONLY! This site is solely supported by property taxes inside City limits and is not open for refuse from other sources or others outside of City limits properties. Contractors hauling from outside of City limits must have prior authorization from City Hall and there will be a disposal fee based on make up and quantity of waste. Violations of this policy will result in fines and revocation of their site key.
Topdressing/composted soil is also available for pick up at the brush site at no charge to City residents.
