City of Blue Earth issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.
Holtmeier is planning on placing gravel on 2nd Street tomorrow. In addition, I just received notice the concrete subcontractor will be in town tomorrow morning to start setting string line for curb. The string line installed will be parallel with the street and continuous through the driveways. The crew will then pour concrete curb and driveways on Thursday and Friday this week. As of now, the concrete crew will not be in town on Saturday (if this change I will let you know). Starting tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m., residents on the project will no longer have access into their driveways until the concrete placed has 7 days to cure. I will provide notice to the residents when they can drive on the new concrete. With the amount of construction traffic needed to set string line and place concrete curb and driveways, we kindly ask that residents park offsite during the day while this construction is being performed.
