City of Alden issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.
Join me at our annual Veterans Support Event to honor Lance Corporal Mark Beyers as our Humanitarian of the Year for 2019. We will also be joined by representatives from Veterans One-stop Center of WNY, Erie County Veterans Service Agency, WNYHeroes.org and other veterans' organizations that offer services and resources to our active and retired service members. We will also be joined by Erie County Clerk Mickey Kearns to enroll veterans in his "Thank-a-Vet" program.
