City of Amboy issued the following announcement on Feb. 4.
The Amboy area community has launched a planning initiative to identify and implement ways to improve and grow their community. The community received a planning grant in October of 2019 from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation. The Amboy group has since formed a Steering Committee and has developed an initiative to gather community input and ideas. The focus will be to revitalize the downtown, bring in new businesses and offer residential opportunities, realizing that the entire community will benefit from the research and potential programs available. Our first community gathering will be a brainstorming session scheduled for February 17th, 6 pm at Bonnie’s Room in the City of Amboy. All are welcome and encouraged to come and share their ideas and suggestions.
