Rep. Brian Daniels (R-Faribault) said he will continue to work for the citizens of District 24B as the nation deals with the coronavirus pandemic.
“I strongly urge everyone to listen to the advice from health experts as we all do our part to help stop of the spread of COVID-19,” Daniels said in a legislative update on the Minnesota Legislature website. “While the legislature will not be regularly meeting, we will remain responsive to Minnesotans and I am committed to representing you and your family and am available via phone and email if you have any questions or concerns.”
In the legislative update, Daniels discussed school and business closures, and new legislation. Gov. Tim Walz has issued an executive order expanding unemployment benefits to those affected by COVID-19 and eliminating the one-week waiting period to apply for benefits. The public health department has also received $200 million in coronavirus funding.
