City of Alden issued the following announcement on May 21.
Erie County is training 500 “contact tracers” to monitor new COVID-19 cases as the region begins the reopening process. In the meantime, the Federal Trade Commission has issued a Consumer Alert about scammers pretending to be contact tracers who are sending text messages with a link that downloads software to your device to steal personal information.
