The Janesville City Council has sent a resolution to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz detailing COVID-19 precautions that nonessential businesses would implement if they were allowed to reopen.
“There’s a lot of fancy words to say how we decree but at the end of the day it sounds nice but it doesn’t do anything and that’s the thing that irritates me the most,” Councilor Melissa Kopachek said at a council meeting, as reported by Waseca County News. “Why not send something with a solution instead of just joining everyone else and saying that we’re mad, we don’t like this?”
Among the measures businesses would put into place to prevent the spread of coronavirus include employers wearing masks and moving operations outside.
“I’m thinking that if we can present enough solutions that we can say that this is not a one size fits all thing,” Kopachek said at the meeting.
