89 percent of applicants to Martin Luther College were admitted for fall 2018

At Martin Luther College, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 51 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in New Ulm enrolled 972 students in fall 2018, including 885 in undergraduate and 87 in graduate programs, data shows. 2.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

12 percent of undergraduates are residents of Minnesota, and 87 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (93 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (2 percent).

The school admitted 89 percent of the 270 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 81 percent enrolled.
