Waseca County has received federal CARES Act funds from the state that will be used to provide business assistance grants to for-profit and nonprofit businesses.
With this round of CARES Act funding, Waseca County, the City of Waseca and various townships teamed up to form a fund of nearly $1 million.
This funding is for businesses or nonprofit organizations in Waseca County that have 35 or fewer employees.
Businesses and nonprofits that qualify can receive anywhere from $3,000 to $15,000 in assistance. Businesses can apply for funding up until Sept. 30 or until the funds are all allocated.
A comprehensive list of qualifications and criteria of eligibility can be found on the downloadable application provided by county officials.
If a business or nonprofit organization owner has any questions after reading the guidelines on the application, they can call or email the program administrator, Ann Fitch. Those interested can reach her by calling 507-835-3260 or by emailing her at ann@wasecachamber.com.
