Brown County commissioners unanimously approved a 10-year road and bridge construction program and a plan to build a recycling storage facility at the county landfill at a recent meeting.
Commissioners also authorized GEI Consultants to prepare and submit an air quality permit application from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), according to The Journal.
In other business, Brown County announced a telework policy and procedure as most employees are working remotely.
There was a 2019 Financial Audit presentation by Doug Host, CPA. The consensus was that the financial statements had a clean bill of health.
“Some segregation of duties could be improved, but overall Brown County is doing very, very good,” Host said.
In addition, commissioners discussed signage, putting “no engine braking” signs on some county roads. Requests were made for County Roads 29 and 2.
Commissioners also discussed an Information Technology on-call policy. Pay would be $60 per holiday, $30 per half holiday and $55 per day per weekend, maximum $110 for weekend.
