CITY OF WALDORF: October 22, 2020 | Project Update No. 12

City Of Waldorf issued the following announcement on Oct 22.

October 22, 2020 | Project Update No. 12

This letter is being sent to inform you of construction activity on the above referenced project.

Over the last week, the contractor has completed placing gravel on the remainder of Main Street and prepared the rest of North Street and Main Street for concrete curb and gutter. Unfortunately, the sudden shift in weather has delayed the bituminous paving and concrete pouring operations. Weather conditions that are more appropriate for this work are expected to return next week. Until this work is complete, the current traffic routing along the gravel service road (to Blashack Street) and the crossing at 3rd Avenue will remain in place. Although it appears traversable, it is imperative that traffic stay off the gravel base on Main Street and North Street. Not only are there exposed valves and manhole tops that can damage a vehicle, but each passing vehicle will only serve to drive this moisture further into the base and push back the completion date. A portion of North Street is accessible from TH 83 in order to keep Blashack Street open, but please do not move or drive past

the traffic control in place. Over the next week, the contractor plans to continue installing force main along TH 83 and install some associated manholes. Other work to be completed includes the installation of a remaining sanitary sewer structure near the new lift station on the service road. Lawn sump catch basins, curb stops (residential water valves), and new sanitary clean outs will be adjusted once the curb is poured and the road is paved. Yards will also have topsoil replaced at this time, but final seeding and fine grading of yards will likely have to wait until next spring. As work progresses, we will provide periodic future Project Updates to keep

you informed during the project. Not all updates will be mailed, however all updates can be found on the City of Waldorf Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/City-of-Waldorf-MN) and in the Community Center bulletin board. If you are interested in receiving future Project Updates by e-mail, please send your name, property address, and e-mail address to Julie Brinkman at

brinkman@sehinc.com.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me or Project Manager Brent Kavitz.
