County Of Blue Earth issued the following announcement on Jul 18.
Join the U of M, Extension for a program on windbreaks and good neighborship on July 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mapleton Community Center, 304 2nd Ave NE, Mapleton, MN 56065.
This is a program tailored for swine farmers about creating odor control windbreaks. Topics will include the following:
Tree selection/windbreak design (one vs. multiple rows)
Pest management/troubleshooting
Tips for neighbor communication
The program is free, and lunch will be provided. Pre-registration is requested for accurate meal count. Register online at z.umn.edu/swinewindbreak or contact Shane at 507-304-4143.
