City Of Albert Lea recently issued the following announcement.
It's safe to say the 2022 3rd Grade Farm Tours were a hit! Thank you to the Chamber Agriculture Committee, Albert Lea FFA students and coordinators! The kids learned about Pigs, Goats, Beef, tractor and lawn mower safety, corn and animal feed. They also learned how you can turn corn into a fuel.
Kids enjoyed little smokies and yogurt as well! Thank you to Kibble equipment for the use of the Tractors and Cole from Kibble equipment for the help and knowledge in teaching the kids about tractor safety. Marty Little and SS Farms for the use of your cows. Hannah Schumacher for the use of your goats and all your knowledge of goats that you taught the kids. Claire Dresher for the use of your pigs and Kiven for all your great knowledge of pigs you taught the kids.
Mary, your little smokies were wonderful! Thank you to Compeer Financial for providing lunch for all of our wonderful volunteers that helped make the farm tours successful! Very special thank you to REG and the Larson’s for sharing your locations and time with us! As you can see, the Chamber AG committee has a lot to be thankful for! Without all of these volunteers we wouldn’t be able to do what we do for the youth in our communities!
