City Of St. Peter issued the following announcement on Feb. 03.
Possible Scam? A recent call to City Hall asked about a text request he and his wife received asking for them to participate in a survey on "issues of importance to Saint Peter". The caller wanted to verify whether the City had commissioned such a survey.
The City has NOT! If you receive a text message asking for participation in a survey related to the City of Saint Peter, please use caution when clicking on any link.
While we can't say for sure this was a scam or phishing or anything else nefarious, it's always best to use caution when you receive an unsolicited request to click on a link. Be internet safe and think before you click!
