77.8% of Freeborn County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 30,882 citizens living in Freeborn County in 2021, 77.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 24,032 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 11,932 were male, constituting 49.7%, and 12,100 were female, making up 50.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Freeborn County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.7%.
