DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. –Foundation for the Restoration of America (FFROA) awarded a $10,000 scholarship to University of Saint Thomas School of Law student Zachary Liebl following his completion of the Constitutional Study Program.

Liebl is from Owatonna, Minnesota and is on track to graduate from the School of Law in 2027. After taking the free courses in the Constitutional Study Program provided through Hillsdale College, he reflected on the individual responsibility each American bears in sustaining the republic.

“Freedom cannot be forced upon anyone. Each individual, and each generation, must choose whether or not to accept it and whether to pass it on,” he opined.

Liebl also noted that the Constitutional Studies Scholarship Program is important to teach the next generation about the founding ideals and documents.  “If we are to maintain and restore freedom in America,” he said, “we would do well to learn what our Founders fought so hard to create and why.”

The Foundation’s Executive Director Christine Altenberger shared how excited she was to read through the insights of students who completed the program, just like Liebl.

“Zachary is a future leader of the United States of America,” Altenberger said. “We’re proud of his work in the Constitutional Studies Scholarship Program, cheering him on through law school, and excited to see where he takes his convictions and skills in the future.”
