River Bend School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

River Bend School District ranked fifth in the Brown County for test participation, with 44 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of River Bend School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 13.7% from the previous year.

River Bend School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 2% in 2021-22 school year.

11th-grade students stood out with 0% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 80% not meeting the expected standards.

River Bend School District encompasses schools within Brown County and has a main office in New Ulm.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
